It’s good to meet you! I’m Canyon Schmerse and here’s a little bit about me!
Just a little about me…
So where do I begin…
First things' first, my name is Canyon Schmerse, and I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. From since I was young I had always wanted to own my own business. When I was a kid I would run around my grandparents house, grabbing random craft supplies and turning them into little imagined products I'd pitch to my grandma. When I got older got all of my neighborhood friends together and started a small business where we'd help clean cars, garbage cans, and even sell homemade goods to the rest of the neighborhood, and with that money we funded a neighborhood movie party all together. However all of this was just an after thought when I initially started school for photography due to the fact I was running my own photographer business in Salt Lake and San Diego. It wasn't until I came out as gay that I started to actually realize the amazing resources and potential I had and could honestly make such a big impact with. For me, entrepreneurship has always been about creating something that leaves a positive impact. I now seek to find ways to shine a light on the hidden minority communities here in SLC and hope to create a business that promotes and supports individuals who don't necessarily fit into the typical Utah mold, I want to break that mold. My goal now is to create a business where I can bring to life the amazing underground cultures here in SLC and provide resources to those who aren't as fortunate in the LGBTQ+ community to pursue their own dreams and start their own businesses.

Sushi
My absolute favorite food in the entire world is Japanese food. I cannot get enough of it. Now Utah isn’t the best place to get sushi but I’ve gone ahead and linked my absolute favorite restaurant here in SLC. Click here

Vintage Gaming
One of my favorite things to collect is vintage gaming consoles and games. Currently working to complete my GameCube collection via ebay and thrift markets but it’s a ton of work! My absolute favorite game that instantly gives me nostalgia is Mario Party!

Film Photography
I love to shoot things on film cameras, whether it’s Polaroid, Super8, or even just Kodak film. I feel like film is able to capture moments so much more authentically which is something that I love.

Travel
One of my absolute favorite things to do is to travel. Currently my favorite places I’ve been to are Italy and Japan. Both of which have beautiful cultures, sites, but most importantly amazing FOOD!

My Puppy
This is my little baby Yuki, she’s a Pomsky which is a Husky mixed with a Pomeranian. She honestly has a strangle hold on my heart.

Game of Thrones
My most favorite movie or tv show ever would have to be Game of Thrones. I just finished watching it all through for a second time and wow does it just get better and better!
